ORIGINAL <br />AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO <br />LICENSE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AND <br />SAN MATEO COUNTY <br />THIS AMENDMENT NO. 1 is entered into as ZZ- day of nrc£✓13e#k , 201(o(the <br />"Effective Date"), by and between THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and <br />municipal corporation of the State of California ("CITY"), and COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, a <br />political subdivision of the state of California,("LICENSEE"). <br />RECITALS <br />A. CITY and LICENSEE previously entered into that certain License Agreement <br />dated February 24, 2016 ("License Agreement'), allowing Licensee to use the City Property for <br />County employee vehicle parking during construction of the Regional Operations Center <br />(formerly County Emergency Dispatch and Response Center) construction project ('Project'). <br />B. The license granted by the License Agreement is scheduled to terminate as of <br />December 31, 2016. <br />C. LICENSEE now desires an extension of time to use the City Property for County <br />employee vehicle parking. <br />D. CITY has determined that extending the temporary use proposed by LICENSEE <br />provides a common benefit to the Downtown area. <br />E. CITY is willing to extend the term of the License Agreement on the terms set <br />forth herein. <br />AGREEMENT <br />NOW, THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration, receipt of which is hereby <br />acknowledged, the parties agree as follows: <br />1. Extension of Term. The Term of the License Agreement is extended for an <br />additional 3 months commencing on January 1, 2017 and expiring on March 30, 2017 <br />("Extension Period"). <br />2. Capitalized Terms. Capitalized terms used herein and not otherwise defined <br />shall have the meanings given to such terms in the License Agreement. <br />3. License in Effect.
