C. Joe Steinfeld, Main Street, candidate for Council, spoke in opposition to Proposition 187 stating the Save Our State campaign is really a Scapegoat Our Strangers campaign. D. Ed Bailey, Page Street, candidate for Council, thanked the Council for their support of the Neighborhood Emergency Response Teams program sponsored by the Redwood City Fire Department Mr. Bailey said the Fire Department is doing a magnificent job, and asked that money for expansion of this program be put in next year's budget. E. Maria Diaz C- Vivian, Maddux Drive, thanked outgoing Council Members Claire and Greena1ch for their support throughout the years for the disabled and seniors, and stated it took very special people to stand up for people with special needs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2.
