Proclaiming March 1, 1992 Arbor Day in the City of Redwood City (301-04) <br />Parks, Recreation and Community Services Director Griffiths introduced I <br />Charles Martin, of the U.S. Forestry Department. Mr. Martin thanked Redwood I <br />City for its commitment to urban forestry and announced this was the ~- <br />eleventh year the National Arbor Day Foundation has named Redwood City as a <br />"Tree City U.S.A." Mr. Martin presented the "Tree City U.S.A." flag to <br />Mayor La Berge who thanked Mr. Martin for this recognition. <br />Mayor La Berge introduced Pauline Truscelli, Chairwoman of the Arbor Day <br />celebration in Redwood City, and read the proclamation proclaiming March 1, <br />1992 Arbor Day in Redwood City. Mrs. Truscelli thanked the Council for <br />their support and invited everyone to attend the tree planting ceremony on <br />March 1, 1992 sponsored by the Native Daughters of the Golden West, Bonita <br />Parlor No. 10. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />4. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS <br />A.
