SPECIAL ORDER OF THE DAY <br /> A. Proclamation in recognition of Kent Mitchell, General Manager of the Hotel <br /> Sofitel, who is leaving Redwood City for a new role in the Hotel Sofitel <br /> organization in Minneapolis, Minnesota (301-04) <br /> Vice Mayor Bury reported that he had presented the Proclamation and <br /> the Council's thanks and best wishes to Kent Mitchell at his farewell <br /> luncheon on Monday. <br /> B. Councilman Stangel reported on the Certificate of Appreciation given to him, <br /> as representative of the Redwood City Council, from the American Red Cross. <br /> C. Councilman Claire reported that he has met five times with the Field <br /> Maintenance task force, and will present an update in three weeks. <br /> Councilman Claire also thanked the Parks, Recreation and Community Services <br /> Department for acting so swiftly on items discussed at the task force's <br /> meetings, and sometimes acting before a problem was even discussed. <br /> Councilman Claire advised that the situation between baseball teams <br /> field time and soccer teams field time will be addressed. <br /> MEMO 4/7/92 <br /> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> 4. STAFF REPORT <br /> A. Status of FY 1992-93 Budget (401-02) <br /> REPORT: Director of Finance, April 6, 1992 <br /> Finance Director Ramchandani provided updated quarterly figures on sales and <br /> property taxes, and short and long term financial projections. <br /> In answer to Council questions, City Manager Everett and Director <br /> Ramchandani described how projections were made based on markets, plans, <br /> land available, Redwood Shores Properties data, etc., and how current, <br /> improved economic picture will positively impact projections.
