EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Funding for this agreement has been granted from the San Mateo County Health System, <br /> Department of Behavioral Health and Recovery Services to support the Redwood City ("RWC°) <br /> and North Fair Oaks("NFO°)Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Partnership. <br /> Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center will work in collaboration with the AOD Abuse Prevention <br /> Partnership to build program capacity in increasing assets and resilience of vulnerable <br /> populations through youth development, and to increase the number of youth involved in <br /> positive leadership and skill-building opportunities. <br /> Specific tasks to be completed include: <br /> • Provide skill building trainings 2-3 times during the 2015-16 school year to youth groups <br /> or youth initiatives as a supplement to any existing weekly sessions/meetings of the <br /> youth group or youth initiative to complement the youth group's cunent work and <br /> mission. Trainings will focus on reaching at-risk youth and a broad collection of youth <br /> groups and youth initiatives across the Redwood City/North Fair Oaks ("RWC/NFO") <br /> community. Training topics will include: <br /> o Research methods; <br /> o Youth-led action research; <br /> o Alcohol and other drug awareness; <br /> o Understanding social norms; <br /> o Project management; <br /> o Communication; <br /> o Negotiation; and <br /> o Other topics as defined by or requested by youth group members, leadership, <br /> PCRC staff, adult allies, or Redwood City 2020. <br /> • Develop and facilitate a RWC/NFO Youth Coalition to complete a youth-led <br /> Environmental Prevention, Research and Awareness project. At least 20 youth from <br /> across the community will be recruited to participate with a focus on at-risk students from <br /> a variety of backgrounds. A minimum of 12 meetings will be held to complete the youth- <br /> led Environmental Prevention project, building upon existing work to create long-term <br /> prevention efforts in the community. <br /> • Work with staff at John W. Gardner Center for Youth and Their Communities to identify <br /> indicators of success and develop/implement an evaluation plan for tracking the success <br /> and impact of all the above-mentioned projects. <br /> • PCRC staff will attend monthly AOD Prevention Partnership Steering Committee <br /> meetings. <br /> • Ensure appropriate County reporting and data collection requirements are met including <br /> but not limited to entering and maintaining monthly CaIOMS records. <br /> Page 10 of 11 <br /> REV:03-04-16 RL <br /> ATTY/AGR.2016.038/AOD Subcontract PCRC Youth Development 2015/16 <br />
