PUBLIC HEARING - review and make changes and amendments necessary to update <br /> Redwood City's Urban Water Management Plan originally adopted in 1986. <br /> (1204-03) <br /> REPORT: Community Development Director, August 12, 1992 <br /> Affidavit of Notice of Publication is on file in the City Clerk Department. <br /> Community Development Director Pawloski presented the staff report and <br /> advised that after five years of drought there are continuing and growing <br /> concerns regarding the water supply and conservation in the Bay Area. The <br /> proposed MOU arose from the conditions of the drought and addresses both <br /> water conservation and water rights and the MOU includes Best Management <br /> Practices. Approving the MOU signifies a commitment by Redwood City to an <br /> aggressive water conservation program. In response to Council questions, <br /> City Attorney Schricker advised that by endorsing the MOU the City does not <br /> preclude considering other options and described the disclaimer included in <br /> Resolution No.3. Director Pawloski described the ordinance that will be <br /> introduced at a later time. <br /> Mayor La Berge opened the public hearing at 8:40 p.m., and invited anyone who <br /> wished to speak to please do so.
