7. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br />A. Legislation (information only) - This sub - section involves possible discussion of <br />City Position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California Cities <br />Priority Focus Bulletin No. 23 -2004. Council may direct staff to act on positions <br />taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities Priority Focus available in <br />City Clerk's Department.) <br />B. Appointments to City Council- appointed Boards, Committees, and Commissions <br />1. Library Board (one three -year term, expiring June 30, 2007). The following <br />applicants were considered to serve on the Library Board: (209) <br />• Guillermina Castellanos <br />• Kathleen Douglas <br />• Pamela Evans <br />• Wendy Winkler <br />By unanimous roll call vote, Kathleen Douglas was appointed to the one <br />three -year term, expiring June 30, 2007. (209) <br />2. Planning Commission (two three -year terms, expiring June 30, 2007).
