MSR : dp : 1/12/77 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O . { { 5 2 <br /> RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF <br /> TREE SPRAYING SERVICES - MODESTO ASH TREES ; REJECTING <br /> ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> JAN 171977 <br /> WHEREAS , pursuant to the provisions of Article VII of <br /> Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Redwood City , the City Manager <br /> has solicited written bids for the furnishing of tree spraying <br /> services relating to Modesto Ash trees on City--owned property ; and <br /> WHEREAS , pursuant to said solicitation for written bids , bids <br /> were received and filed with the City Clerk for the furnishing of <br /> said tree spraying services ; and <br /> WHEREAS , Davey Tree Surgery , Burlingame , California , is the <br /> lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said tree spraying <br /> services , and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> award said bid to Davey Tree Surgery , to waive any informality in <br /> the bid of the aforementioned bidder , and to reject any and all <br /> other bids received for said work ; <br /> NOW , THEREFORE ; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY , <br /> AS FOLLOWS : <br /> The bid of Davey Tree Surgery , in the total lump sum amount <br /> of Five Thousand Five Hundred and 56/100 Dollars ( $ 5 , 500 . 56 ) in <br /> accordance with bidder ' s proposal dated January 3 , 1977 , for the <br /> furnishing of tree spraying services relating to Modesto Ash trees <br /> existing on City-owned property , in accordance with the specifica- <br /> tions therefor on file in the office of the City Manager , is hereby <br /> accepted and said bidder is found and declared to be the lowest <br /> responsible bidder for said work . <br /> 7752 <br />
