<br /> DUPUCATJ: <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, THE <br /> CITIES OF MENLO PARK, BURLINGAME, SAN MATEO, AND <br /> THE PENINSULA CORRIDOR JOINT POWERS BOARD <br /> REGARDING RESPONSIBILITIES INHERENT WITH A PROJECT <br /> TO DESIGN AND INSTALL RUBBERIZED GRADE CROSSINGS <br /> AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS ALONG THE CALTRAIN COMMUTER <br /> RAILROAD TRACKS WITHIN SAN MATEO COUNTY <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this day of , <br /> 1996, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a chartered city in the <br /> County of San Mateo, State of California, hereinafter called "Redwood City," the <br /> Cities of Menlo Park, Burlingame, and San Mateo, cities in the County of San <br /> Mateo, State of California, hereinafter separately referred to as "Each City," and <br /> the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board ("JPB"). <br /> WITNESSETH <br /> WHEREAS, the project to install rubberized grade crossings at up to <br /> fifteen (15) locatio~s along the CAL TRAIN Co~muter railroad tracks within San <br /> Mateo County (the "Project") has been identified as a project qualifying for the <br /> use of "ISTEA Funds" under the Intermodial Surface Transportation Efficiency <br /> Act; and <br /> WHEREAS, Redwood City has been designated as manager and <br /> administrator of said ISTEA Funds; and <br /> WHEREAS, Redwood City and Each City have agreed that said <br /> rubberized grade crossings design and installation should be coordinated by <br /> Redwood City; and <br /> ,- ' - <br />
