<br /> ORIGINAL <br /> AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY, THE CITIES OF MENLO PARK, <br /> BURLINGAME, SAN MATEO, AND THE PENINSULA <br /> CORRIDOR JOINT POWERS BOARD REGARDING <br /> RESPONSIBILITIES INHERENT WITH A PROJECT TO DESIGN <br /> AND INSTALL RUBBERIZED GRADE CROSSINGS AT <br /> VARIOUS LOCATIONS ALONG THE CAL TRAIN COMMUTER <br /> RAILROAD TRACKS WITHIN SAN MATEO COUNTY <br /> THIS AMENDMENT (the "Amendment"), entered into this \.~ay of <br /> w~ ' 1999, amends the agreement (the "Agreement") entered into on <br /> the 17th of January 1996, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br /> chartered city in the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereinafter called <br /> "Redwood City," the Cities of Menlo Park, Burlingame, and San Mateo, cities in <br /> the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereinafter separately referred to <br /> as "Each City," and the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board ("JPB,,), <br /> WITNESSETH <br /> WHEREAS, the project to install rubberized grade crossings at up to <br /> fifteen (15) locations along the CAL TRAIN Commuter railroad tracks within San <br /> Mateo County (the "Project") has been identified as a project qualifying for the <br /> use of "ISTEA Funds" under the Intermodial Surface Transportation Efficiency <br /> Act; and <br /> WHEREAS, Redwood City and each City have agreed that the concrete <br /> grade crossings design and installation should be coordinated by Redwood City; <br /> and <br /> sh/RWC/Council/Agmt 1 <br /> Agmt-17B <br /> 02/15/99 <br /> 03/01/99 <br /> FXS/fs <br /> -_.,-_. -.---'-""-"-.'..'.-".. ..,.,....... .... .....-.-..".. .._.._...._-'------'---"'-~~--'--"--'._--_._. <br />
