MINUTE ORDER <br />JOINT CITY COUNCIL / SUCCESSOR AGENCY BOARD <br />PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY MEETING <br />Mav 9. 2016 <br />MO. 16-077 <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br />Date: May 11, 2016 <br />Attention: City Attorney <br />Community Development Director <br />**hard copy available upon request** <br />SUBJECT: Award Contract for Multi and Single Space Parking Meter System Upgrade <br />AGENDA ITEM: 6.1A (304) <br />Meeting of the Joint City Council/Successor Agency Board/Public Financing Authority of Redwood <br />City on May 9, 2016. <br />Present: Council Members, Aguirre, Borgens, Gee, Howard, Masur, Vice Mayor Bain and Mayor <br />Seybert. <br />M/S Aguirre/Gee to approve the Consent Calendar. <br />By motion, <br />1) Award contract to IPS Group, Inc., to provide acquisition and installation of a multi and single <br />space parking meter system for on -street and surface parking lots in Downtown Redwood City, for <br />an amount not to exceed $1,059,216.57; <br />2) Authorize the City Manager to execute a Master Agreement with IPS Group, Inc. in substantially <br />the form attached as Attachment No. 1, subject to any changes approved by the City Attorney; <br />3) Authorize the City Manager to purchase extended warranty and maintenance services with IPS <br />Group, Inc., following the original 3 -year warranty, annually, for up to ten years for a total amount <br />not to exceed $584,137.27; <br />4) Authorize the City Manager to pay for the ongoing data management, <br />communications, and transaction fees from IPS Group, Inc., monthly, for an estimated amount of <br />$10,000.(This amount will vary based on system usage); <br />5) Authorize the City Manager to increase the contract amount, if necessary, by up to 10% of the <br />original contract amount, and <br />6) Confirm the determination that the Project is exempt from the provisions of CEQA <br />Motion carried unanimously by electronic vote. <br />Silvia Vonderlinden <br />Municipal City Clerk <br />
