6. Clock <br /> a. Meters shall automatically adjust internal clocks for daylight savings time periodic changes. <br /> IPS complies. The M5TM will automatically adjust for DST. <br /> b. Meter clocks shall be accurate to within plus or minus two seconds per day. <br /> IPS complies. <br /> c. Meter clocks shall be synced each time they communicate with the CMS. <br /> IPS complies. The timer on the meter is synced to server time, which in turn is synced to a stratum 1 time <br /> server (atomic clock) to maximize accuracy of time throughout the entire network. <br /> d. Meter clocks shall track each day of the week. <br /> IPS complies. The M5TM will track and display the day of the week on the meter. <br /> 7. Power <br /> a. Nickel-Cadmium batters shall not be used to power the meter. <br /> IPS complies. The M5TM battery does not include nickel-cadmium. <br /> b. Meters shall( include a means to augment power through solar technology. <br /> IPS complies. The M5TM has a trickle solar panel charger, in which the solar energy is utilized more <br /> effectively. <br /> c. If the proposed battery consists of a rechargeable battery and a backup, non-rechargeable battery, <br /> then the City shall be able to purchase and replace each battery component individually. <br /> IPS complies. All replacement batteries on the M5TM are available for purchase. <br /> d. Batteries shall be standard "off-the-shelf' battery products available for consumers. <br /> IPS complies. <br /> e. Non-rechargeable batteries shall not include any electronic boards or components besides wire <br /> connection to the mechanism. <br /> IPS complies. <br /> f. The voltage check system for rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries shall be integrated into <br /> the mechanism reset sequence. <br /> IPS complies. <br /> g. City maintenance personnel shall be able to replace non-rechargeable batteries without the use of <br /> tools (i.e., nothing should be screwed in or otherwise constrained from removal). <br /> IPS complies.
