6. Clock a. Meters shall automatically adjust internal clocks for daylight savings time periodic changes. IPS complies. The M5TM will automatically adjust for DST. b. Meter clocks shall be accurate to within plus or minus two seconds per day. IPS complies. c. Meter clocks shall be synced each time they communicate with the CMS. IPS complies. The timer on the meter is synced to server time, which in turn is synced to a stratum 1 time server (atomic clock) to maximize accuracy of time throughout the entire network. d. Meter clocks shall track each day of the week. IPS complies. The M5TM will track and display the day of the week on the meter. 7. Power a. Nickel-Cadmium batters shall not be used to power the meter. IPS complies. The M5TM battery does not include nickel-cadmium. b. Meters shall( include a means to augment power through solar technology. IPS complies. The M5TM has a trickle solar panel charger, in which the solar energy is utilized more effectively. c. If the proposed battery consists of a rechargeable battery and a backup, non-rechargeable battery, then the City shall be able to purchase and replace each battery component individually. IPS complies. All replacement batteries on the M5TM are available for purchase. d. Batteries shall be standard "off-the-shelf' battery products available for consumers. IPS complies. e. Non-rechargeable batteries shall not include any electronic boards or components besides wire connection to the mechanism. IPS complies. f. The voltage check system for rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries shall be integrated into the mechanism reset sequence. IPS complies. g. City maintenance personnel shall be able to replace non-rechargeable batteries without the use of tools (i.e., nothing should be screwed in or otherwise constrained from removal). IPS complies.
