Stormwater Treatment inspection Informatian: <br /> The principal maintenance objective is to prevent sediment buildup and clogging, which <br /> reduces the pollutant removal efficiency and may lead to bio-retention area failure. <br /> Routine maintenance activities and the frequency at which they should be conducted are <br /> shown in the tables below.The following storm water treatment Inspection information is <br /> provided for the treatment measures listed above: <br /> Table 1 <br /> Routine Inspection and Maintenance Activities for Bio- <br /> Retentioo Areas <br /> No. Maintenance Task Frequency of Task <br /> 1 Remove obstructions,debris and trash from bio-retention area Monthly,or as needed after storm <br /> and dispose of properly. events <br /> 2 Inspect bio-retention area for ponded water. if ponded water Monthly,ar as needed after storm <br /> does not drain within 2-3 days,tiil and replace the surface soil events <br /> and replant. <br /> 3 Inspect inlets for channels,soil exposure or other evidence of Monthly,or as needed after storm <br /> erosion.Clear obstructions and remove sediment, events <br /> 4 Remove and replace all dead and diseased vegetation.
