The Bicycle F�odeos will be interactive hands-on <br /> programs allowing students to experience tca�c situations as bicyclists in a safe learning <br /> environment called "Safe Moves City" By using a realistic environment, the ability af students <br /> to recognize and avoid: traffic hazards wi0 be improved. The Tesson plans and traffic situations <br /> become more challenging fior the upper grades to accommodate their "real life traffic <br /> challenges". <br /> "Safe Moves Gity"has the following features: <br /> � Sidewalks <br /> • Infersections <br /> • Crosswalks <br /> • Traffic signs and signals <br /> • Cars <br /> • Trucks <br /> • Buses <br /> • Residential area (various set ups to reflect the diverse communities) <br /> • Business district with stores and parking lots with entrances &exits <br /> • Alleyways. <br /> • Bike lanes <br /> • Railraad tracks with train, signal, gate and signs <br /> • School <br /> "Safe Moves City"is module and can be set up to resem6le the tra�c environment around each <br /> school and infrastructure so students can practice safe bicyclist skills in a familiar sefiting: �Safe <br /> Moves Ci#y" will also reflect the school policy and procedures for drop-off and pick up.
