6.3.C. - Page 9 <br /> Handicap Viewing <br /> Handicap access parade viewing will be available on the north side of the intersection of <br /> Marshall and Jefferson. Vehicles with handicap placards displayed will be allowed to park <br /> on Jefferson between Bradford and Marshall. <br /> Special Parking for Announcer Trucks <br /> A few parking spaces on Main between Marshall and Middlefield, on Winslow between <br /> Broadway and Middlefield, and on Arguello between Marshall and Brewster will be <br /> reserved from 8:00 am July 3d to 2:00 pm July 4th for the placement of parade announcer <br /> trucks.Barricades, cones, and caution tape may be used to identify these spaces. The PCA <br /> will provide a list of these parking spaces. <br /> Access for Event Staff and volunteers <br /> All event staff and volunteers will enter the parade and festival area from Veterans at <br /> Brewster and proceed to Winslow,Winslow to Chase Bank parking lot. Vehicles will <br /> display an Event/Parking Pass. The PCA will provide PD with a copy of the Pass. <br /> • City Services Required <br /> • Assist the PCA in the distribution of information to local residents and business operators about <br /> street closures related to the parade. <br /> Request through the County OES the use of steel crowd control barricades for traffic control and <br /> spectator safety. Setup barricades on both sides of Broadway between Winslow and Arguello, <br /> on the north and east sides of the Broadway/Winslow intersection, and on the north and east <br /> sides of the Marshall/Main intersection. <br /> Provide a lighted highway sign on the south side of the Broadway/Winslow intersection to <br /> advise parade entries they are about to make a left turn onto a narrow street. <br /> Provide electrical connections at the Main Library and to street lighting outlets on Main Street <br /> between Marshall and Middlefield on July 4th from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm to support Parade <br /> announcers stations. <br /> Provide traffic cones and street barricades for Parade route,Lineup area, and other traffic <br /> diversion requirements as determined by the Police Department. The PCA will work with the <br /> Police Department and Public Works to provide a list of times, locations,and quantity of <br /> barricades needed for the Parade and Lineup area. <br /> Provide two (2)temporary"No Left Turn" signs for use on Whipple Ave. <br /> Provide two street sweepers to be available at approximately 10:00 AM to pick up horse <br /> droppings along the Parade Route and the designated horse lineup areas. <br /> For the safety of parade entries,remove the"pedestrian crossing"signs from the middle of the <br /> street on Main, Middlefield, and Winslow. <br /> Revised 03130/2016 Page 4 of 6 <br />
