6.1.D. - Page 11 <br /> EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> FIRE SAFETY FIRST PROGRAM <br /> Phase Breakdown: <br /> Phase 0.0 GENERAL <br /> Phase 1.0 NOT USED <br /> Phase 2.0 NOT USED <br /> Phase 3.0 PROJECT MANAGEMENT: ADMINISTRATION <br /> Phase 4.0 PROJECT MANAGEMENT: PROJECT CLOSE-OUT <br /> 0.0 GENERAL <br /> Recently, the City of Redwood City, City Council, approved ordinance 2413 requiring the <br /> installation of automated life safety fire sprinkler system(s) for apartment buildings built prior <br /> to 1989 and containing four or more units. There are approximately 586 such buildings that <br /> meet this condition in Redwood City. <br /> CONSULTANT working under the direction of the CITY's Fire Chief or his designated <br /> representative, shall work to facilitate successful delivery of individual life safety sprinkler projects; <br /> facilitate effective communication between all project team members and communicate all relevant <br /> information and outcomes to the CITY and property owners in a timely manner; support CITY staff <br /> at meetings with community and stakeholders; and assist the CITY with developing a collaborative <br /> consensus driven process to deliver each project and shared vision for a successful program <br /> consistent with approved City Ordinance and City approved agreements and plans. <br /> CONSULTANT shall designate a project manager who shall be the primary point of contact for the <br /> City, property owner, and contractor and shall keep the Fire Chief or his designated representative <br /> informed as issues and resolutions develop specific to each project. <br /> 1.0 NOT USED, <br /> 2.0 NOT USED <br /> 3.0 PROJECT MANAGEMENT: CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION <br /> Under the direction of the CITY's Fire Chief or his designated representative CONSULTANT shall <br /> provide and coordinate services necessary for the administration and coordination of the City <br /> adopted ordinance 2413, for automated life safety fire system(s) for apartment buildings built <br /> prior to 1989 and containing four or more units, including the following: <br /> 3.1 CONSULTANT shall coordinate necessary services with and communications between the <br /> Fire Chief, property owner, contractor, and City staff, as required or directed by Fire Chief. <br /> ATTY/AGR/2016.071/FIRST SAFETY FIRST PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SERVICES-KITCHELL <br /> REV:04-07-16 RL <br /> Page 9 of 11 <br />
