REPORT To the Honorable Mayor and City Council From the City Manager June 27, 2016 SUBJECT Fourth Amendment to Agreement with the County of San Mateo for Information and Referral Services Provided at the Fair Oaks Community Center RECOMMENDATION By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the Fourth Amendment to the agreement between the San Mateo County Human Services Agency and the City of Redwood City for Information and Referral Services provided at the Fair Oaks Community Center in the amount of $53,766, for a total not to exceed contract price of $344,472 BACKGROUND Council approved the original agreement between the San Mateo County Human Services Agency and the City of Redwood City for Information and Referral Services provided at the Fair Oaks Community Center for FY 2013-14, 2014-15, and 2015-16 at its regular Council meeting on April 22, 2013. Council also approved subsequent amendments to this Agreement at its regular Council meetings on April 7, 2014, June 8, 2015, and February 22, 2016. ANALYSIS The County of San Mateo would like to extend existing services for Information and Referral Services provided at the Fair Oaks Community Center. The original three year contract expires June 30, 2016, and the proposed amendment will extend the term for six months, through December 31, 2016. This increases the contract amount by $53,766 for a total not to exceed contract price of $344,472. Subsequently, the County will be finalizing a new three year contract which will be brought to Council at that time. The proposed amendment constitutes the fourth amendment to the original contract. ALTERNATIVES Council could choose not to approve the amendment, and not accept the additional funding from the San Mateo County to extend the existing contract to December 31, 2016. 6.1.G. - Page 1
