PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED WATER & SEWER RATE INCREASES The City hereby gives notice that a public hearing on the proposed water and sewer rate increases will be held during the City Council Meeting scheduled for Monday, June 13, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California. At the public hearing, the City Council will consider public comment as well as written protests against the proposed water and/or sewer rate increases submitted by property owners or customers responsible for paying the City’s utility bill. If written protests are received from a majority of affected parcels, the City will not adopt the proposed rate increases and the City will continue to charge the existing rates. Protests will be counted separately for water and for sewer. If you wish to file a written protest, it can be delivered to the City Clerk at the public hearing or mailed or delivered to the City Clerk prior to the hearing at Water and Sewer Rates, City Clerk, City of Redwood City, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA 94063. Written protests must 1) identify the affected property or properties, such as by address, Assessor’s Parcel Number, or customer account number, 2) include the name and signature of the property owner or customer of record submitting the protest, and 3) indicate whether the protest is against water rates only, against sewer rates only, or against all proposed rates. Only one protest per parcel will be counted. Written protests must be received prior to the close of the public hearing on June 13, 2016.
