Sewer Utility Finances & Rates  77  <br /> Water & Sewer Financial Plans & Rate Studies  <br />The following chart shows a survey of combined water and sewer bills for a typical single family  <br />home.  The table also shows Redwood City’s projected bills for 2016/17 with proposed rates,  <br />excluding any changes in water use due to conservation.  Many other regional agencies are also  <br />anticipating rate increases in upcoming years.  With the proposed rates for 2016/17, Redwood City’s  <br />combined water and sewer bills are projected to remain in the middle range compared to other  <br />regional agencies.    <br />  <br />Figure S6:  Combined Single Family Water & Sewer Bills  <br />  <br />  <br />Multi‐family residential dwelling units in buildings with 10 or more residential units will benefit from  <br />the proposed implementation of reduced sewer service charges, set at 90% of the single family rate.   <br />Impacts vary for non‐residential customers depending on customer class and water consumption.   <br />Interestingly, many customers facing larger water rate impacts also face smaller sewer rate impacts  <br />and many customers facing larger sewer rate impacts face smaller water rate impacts. <br />6.4.A. - Page 104
