Proclamation in honor of Eddie Mae Spiller, one of 100 winners in the <br /> nationwide Maxwell House "Search for 100 Real Heroes" (301-04) <br /> Vice Mayor Bury presented the proclamation to Eddie Mae Spiller who thanked <br /> the Council for honoring her so many times, and described the work she does <br /> for which she was honored by Maxwell House. Mrs. Spiller told the Council <br /> and the audience that she was so proud of Redwood City for supporting her <br /> efforts over the years and she was indeed humbled by being named one of 100 <br /> heroes in the United States. Mrs. Spiller described the award ceremonies <br /> and the trip to Nashville, and showed the Year Book of 100 Heroes with her <br /> picture and description. Mrs. Spiller advised that the proclamation she was <br /> given this evening was the 73rd honor she has received, and she was both <br /> humble and proud of her accomplishments. <br /> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> D. Proclamation thanking Janet McGovern, reporter for the Peninsula Times <br /> Tribune, for the outstanding body of work she produced over the last <br /> thirteen years. Mrs. McGovern thanked the <br /> Council for honoring her with this proclamation and said she would miss <br /> the people of Redwood City very much.
