Nomination and Election of Vice Mayor for a two-year term ;¡, Mayor Buchan called for nominations for the office of Vice Mayor and conducted the election. , M/S: GREENALCH/LA BERGE TO NOMINATE COUNCILMAN CLAIRE TO THE OFFICE OF VICE MAYOR BY ACCLAMATION CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE. MINUTE ORDER NO. 92-192 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST A. Council Member comments. Mayor Buchan presented a plaque with the Mayor's gavel to former Mayor, now Councilwoman La Berge and thanked her for her fantastic job. Former Mayor La Berge thanked everyone who helped her during her two years as Mayor, presented summaries of just ten of the City's accomplishments during her tenure and welcomed her new colleagues. New Councilmembers Gasparini, Steinfeld and Sanfilipo thanked all the people who helped in their campaigns, introduced their families, and expressed enthusiasm and optimism for the challenges of their new offices. Councilmembers Claire, La Berge, Greenalch and Mayor Buchan thanked everyone for their support and input, introduced their families, and expressed their confidence in the future of this new Council and in the future of Redwood City. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9.
