Contractor <br /> will include a statement that it is an equal opportunity employer in all solicitations or <br /> advertisements for subcontractors or employees. <br /> 13. SECTION 3 OF THE HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT ACT OF <br /> 1986. Contractor hereby agrees that it will comply with the provisions of Section 3, the <br /> regulations set forth in 24 CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) part 135, and all <br /> applicable rules and orders of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. <br /> Contractor will, to the greatest extent feasible, prioritize making available opportunities <br /> for training and employment under this contract to low- and very low-income residents <br /> of Redwood City. <br /> Contractor further agrees to include language specifying required compliance <br /> with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1986 in all subcontracts <br /> executed under this agreement. <br /> Contractor certifies and agrees that no contractual or other legal incapacity exists <br /> that would prevent compliance with these requirements. <br /> 14. NONDISCRIMINATION IN THE PROVISION OF SERVICES. <br /> A. Contractor hereby agrees that it will comply with the provisions of <br /> Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the American with Disabilities Act <br /> (ADA) providing equal access and reasonable accommodations in employment <br /> programs and services to persons who are disabled. <br /> B. Contractor hereby agrees that in the provision of services and <br /> Program activities, it will comply with all applicable local, state and federal laws and <br /> regulations prohibiting discrimination and harassment. <br /> 15. INTEREST OF PUBLIC OFFICIALS. No covered persons who exercise <br /> any function or responsibility with respect to this Agreement or Contractor's Program <br /> during his or her tenure, or for one year thereafter, will have any interest, direct or <br /> indirect, in this Agreement or a related subcontract, or the proceeds thereof.
