r� � j ����� ��.1 <br /> �°��'�G�u��� _, <br /> FUNDING AGREEMENT FOR HUMAN SERVICES FINANCIAL <br /> ASSISTANCE PROGRAM <br /> BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND <br /> LEGAL AID SOCIETY OF SAN MATEO COUNTY <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this „��� day <br /> of �� , 2016, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and <br /> a municipal corporation of the State of California ("City") and Legal Aid Society of San <br /> Mateo County, a Califamia nonprofit organization ("Contractor"). Collectively, the City <br /> and Contractor will be referred to as the "Parties". <br /> RECITALS <br /> A. WHEREAS, Contractor provides legal advice and services to keep low- <br /> income tenants in their affordable homes, and to mitigate the effects of potential eviction <br /> ("Program"); and <br /> B. WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br /> conduct the Program for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, <br /> 2015, and ending June 30, 2016; and <br /> C. WHEREAS, City has reviewed the request and desires to allocate to <br /> Contractor the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of <br /> Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year <br /> commencing July 1, 2015, and ending June 30, 2016, to be used by Contractor solely <br /> for the purposes described in paragraph 2. <br /> 2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor shall use the funds provided pursuant to <br /> paragraph 1 solely for the Program purposes described in Exhibit "A" (Contract <br /> Objectives) attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. <br /> 3. CHANGES TO PROGRAM. No changes in the Program as described in <br /> Exhibit"A"to this agreement shall be made without the prior written consent of City. <br /> 4. PAYMENTS. Contractor will keep detailed and accurate records of all <br /> expenditures made and expenses incurred which are funded under this agreement. <br /> Payments of funds allocated pursuant to paragraph 1 shall be made to Contractor within <br /> 30 calendar days after Funding Agreement is fully signed and executed. <br /> 5. STANDARD OF SERVICE. Contractor warrants to the City that the <br /> Program will be performed to the highest standards provided for projects of similar or <br /> like nature in the San Francisco Bay Area, as determined by City's Human Services <br /> REV:06-21-16 FF <br /> Page 1 of 7 <br /> ATTY/AGR.2016.145/Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County <br />
