_ _ ___ �.� <br /> 06/27/2016 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2422 <br /> ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AMENDING SECTION 38.5 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO WATER SERVICE <br /> CHARGES AND FEES <br /> THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. Section 38.5 of the Redwood City Municipal Code is hereby <br /> deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following: <br /> Section 38.5 WATER SERVICE CHARGES: <br /> In addition to all other charges and fees applicable to users of water from <br /> the water system owned or operated by the City of Redwood City, as established <br /> by the Water Rules and Regulations of the Public Works Services Department, <br /> as amended, and this chapter, residential and non-residential water service <br /> charges shall be paid for each water service provided by the City at the rates set <br /> forth in this Section: <br /> (a) Residential Basic Water Service Charge. A monthly water service <br /> charge per dwelling unit equivalent ("DUE") for residential customers, <br /> irrespective of whether such service is furnished through a single meter <br /> for multiple dwelling units or through individual meters for each <br /> dwelling unit, is hereby established as follows: <br /> * <br /> Effective Date: 08/01/16 <br /> $25.39 <br /> Effective Date: 07/01/17 <br /> $27.38 <br /> Effective Date: 07/01/18 <br /> $29.52 <br /> *DUEs shall be determined as follows: <br /> (i) A single-family residence consisting of one (1) independent <br /> dwelling unit on a parcel of property shall be deemed 1 DUE; and <br /> (ii) Multi-family residences, consisting of more than one (1) dwelling <br /> unit on a parcel of property shall be deemed to consist of the <br /> ATTY/ORD.428/CITY WATER RATE ORDINANCE 2016 RESO.NO.2422 <br /> REV:06-02-16 FF MUFF NO.802 <br /> Page 1 of 5 <br />
