PUBLIC HEARING - Revised Sewerage ~~rvice Rates and Regulatory Amendments <br /> (Water rates to be considered at May 10, 1993 Council meeting) <br /> Affidavit of Publication of Notice is on file <br /> REPORT: Community Development Director, April 21, 1993 <br /> City Engineer Luck presented the staff report using overhead projections, <br /> and described goal of providing sufficient revenue to operate sewer <br /> system efficiently and effectively from this point forward. Mr. Luck <br /> described the Council Water Committee's work, staff's input, and SBSA <br /> Director Jim Bewley's assistance in formulating the recommendations being <br /> presented to Council. Mr. Luck described the recent history of revenues and <br /> expenditures, and the need for a coherent, consistent capital improvement <br /> program with adequate reserves. <br /> In response to Council questions City Engineer Luck described the long term <br /> sewerage capacity situation and current and future plans for maintenance and <br /> capital improvements. <br /> MAYOR BUCHAN OPENED THE PUBLIC HEARING AT 8:12 P.M. AND INVITED ANYONE WHO <br /> WISHED TO SPEAK TO PLEASE DO so. <br /> , <br /> Duane Sandul, representing the Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of <br /> Commerce, asked that Council hold open the public hearing to May 10th, to <br /> designate a staff person to work with the Chamber, and to allow Chamber <br /> members to have input into the decision making process. <br /> City Manager Everett advised that Finance Director Ramchandani would be the <br /> contact person for the Chamber. <br /> MEMO 4/21/93 <br /> Ron Gugliomone, City employee in General Services, Sewer Division, spoke in <br /> favor of this recommendation as it addressed the short and long term sewer <br /> needs of the City. <br /> M/S: CLAIRE/GREENALCH TO CONTINUE THE OPEN PUBLIC HEARING TO MAY 10, 1993 <br /> AT 1:30 P.M., OR AS SOON THEREAFTER AS POSSIBLE, IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS <br /> CHAMBERS, 401 MARSHALL STREET, REDWOOD CITY. <br /> CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE. <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 93-016 <br /> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> 6.
