· R1, relating to the development of an appropriate body-worn camera <br />implementation plan by November 30, 2016. The plan will be completed within <br />the proposed timeframe. <br /> <br />· R3, relating to the implementation of a body-worn camera system no later than <br />October 31, 2017. This recommendation will require further discussion and <br />analysis by policy makers regarding the long-term financial commitment, <br />technological integration requirements, and additional staffing and/or software <br />enhancements that will be needed to respond to the anticipated significant <br />increase in California Public Records Act requests (CPRA) processing, additional <br />video evidence processing, and review of video for report documentation. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. Approve the letter responding to the Grand Jury Report with no changes. <br /> <br />2. Approve the letter responding to the Grand Jury Report with changes. <br /> <br />3.
