ATTY/RESO.0068/CC RESO APPROVING TEMPORARY STREET CLOSURE – SHERIFF’S ACTIVITY <br />REV: 07-14-16 VR <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />RESOLUTION NO.______ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY APPROVING THE TEMPORARY STREET AND SIDEWALK <br />CLOSURES FOR THE SHERIFF’S ACTIVITIES LEAGUE FOOD, WINE, <br />& HEROES FUNDRAISER <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, because of the impact that special events have on City streets and <br />traffic when a full or partial street closure is required for such a special event, the City <br />Council of the City of Redwood City finds that it is crucial that any such routes be <br />thoroughly reviewed and analyzed to enable careful planning of such special events in <br />order to minimize impacts to the general public where such street closures are permitted; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after thorough review, analysis, and planning the City Council does <br />hereby establish the following necessary Partial Street and sidewalk closures for the <br />Sheriff’s Activities League Food, Wine, & Heroes fundraiser. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. On Thursday, October 20th, 2016, Broadway, between Hamilton Street and <br />Middlefield Road, and the west sidewalk of Broadway between Hamilton Street and the <br />entrance to the Quinto Sol restaurant, located at 2201 Broadway, will be closed from 2:00 <br />p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in order to allow the Sheriff’s Activities League Food, Wine, & Heroes <br />fundraiser event to occur. <br /> <br />* * * <br />6.3.C. - Page 4
