A <br />I <br />0 <br />P7 <br />0 <br />37 <br />develop a satisfactory plan whichmuld reduce the necessary area to be <br />acquired. Howeverp it has been determined by the Engineering Department <br />that any material change in the existing plan lines would prohibit a <br />satisfactory solution to the existing traffic problem* <br />Mr, Harold Wattenberg., representing purchaser of ptoperty at corner Whipple and El Camino Real., stated <br />that speed was most urgent* His clients have a proposed buyer and this delay is not helping the situation <br />as they can not lease the property with the proposed plan lines still not settled. He asked that acquisition <br />action be taken or some action to let his clients know what the situation will be. <br />Councilman Royer asked the Mayor to appoint a committee to check into the matter and meet with Mr. Wattenberg <br />in an effort to see what they can figure out as to acquistion cost and also see what property could be <br />given up by Mr. Wattenberg's clients and still not hurt use of the remaining property. Mayor Herkner <br />appointed the Real Estate Committee and City Engineer to meet with Mr. Wattenberg and follow through on <br />Cduncilman Royer's plan. This was followed by discussion in which Councilman Britschgi stated he didn't <br />want to go on record approving the plan lines if they would ruin the property and he wanted the committee <br />to take another look to make sure this would not happen. This was followed by discussion in regard to <br />agreement with the peanut stand owner on severance damages an the addition to the old stand.
