77 <br />Councilman Britschgi asked that the matter of a possible stop sign at King Street and Brewster Avenue be <br />turned over to the Traffic Fact Finding Committee.for their recommendation. <br />Councilman Britschgi stated that there were two lots in the vicinity of De Anza Street, which were or possibly <br />are still arced by Mr. Toffinelli, which, because.of the drainage and sewer situation, should be allowed to <br />annex to San Carlos, This matter was referred to the City Manager* <br />"M Councilman Britschgi reported that some members of the public were taking up too much time of the Department <br />6,,,,, Heads and were demanding too much of their time and were even asking for transportation to different locations <br />in the City for investigation purposes. He was of the opinion that in the future any such matters should <br />be cleared by the City Manager and he was merely calling -this to the attention of the Council. <br />Councilman Spillers asked that the matter of a possible "Little League" ball park being developed be turned over to <br />the Park and Recreation Commission for consideration before budget time. He stated that there are so many <br />irrr <br />league groups in existance now and there eight more teams about to be organized that they can not all fit <br />on the same field, especially with the adult league games also using the field. This was referred to the <br />Commission for consideration. <br />Councilman Britschgi reported on an investigation he made regarding overhead traffic signals. He stated that <br />the State was going to put in an overhead signal at San Antonio Road. <br />The Mayor announced that there would be a study meeting on Thursday, February 16th, in regarding to parking of <br />Veterans Memorial Building. <br />The City Clerk stated that Scotty Wood requested permission to allow his Scout Troup to paint house numbers in <br />Friendly Acres. Councilman Stout moved approval of request subject to checking with the City Engineer, <br />seconded by .Councilman Royer and carried* <br />Mayor Herkner introduced Mr. L. A. Kimball, Assistant to City Manager. <br />PPON Mayor Herkner, asked for the Recreation Foundation report. Councilman Royer stated that Councilman Jones was the <br />WON chairman and he would like to wait for Councilman Jones to make the report. The Committee has had a <br />meeting. <br />Mayor Herkner asked that a report be made in two weeks on the matter of creek covering in spots not being consider- <br />ed in the parking district. This is an administrative matter and a report should be made. - <br />Councilman Britschgi will attend the Planning Commission meeting of February 15th. <br />Councilman Granger offered RESOLUTION IN MEMORIUM OF COMMANDER DUTTWEILER and moved its adoption, seconded by <br />Councilman Britschgi and carried on roll call, Councilman Jones being noted absent.
