Councilman Spillers moved to grant the <br />use permit, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />REPORT ON BID OPENING, HIGHLANDS TERRITORY NO. 4 SONER AND WATER ASSESSMENT'DISTRI_CT. The City Engineer <br />reported that the bids were in order and he recommend the low bid of Hackett Bros* in the amount of <br />$4,287.60. <br />Councilman Stout offered RESOLUTION 2o14 AWARDING CONTRACT, HIGHLANDS TERRITORY NO. 4 SEWER and moved its <br />adoption, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on*roll call. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL N. ROGOFF APPLICATION FOR A VARIANCE TO ALLOW 8' SIDE YARD AT 2918 & <br />2952 HOPKINS AVENUE. The Clerk read the letter submitted by the -Planning Commission. Councilman Spillers <br />moved approval of the Planning Commission's recommendation and offered RESOLUTION 2015 FOR A VARIANCE IN <br />PON SIDE YARD REQUIREMENTS FROM 10 FEET TO 8 FEET ON LOT 2, BLOCK 16, OAK KNOLL MANOR, and moved its adoption, <br />6W seconded by,.Councilman Britschgi and carried on roll call. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL E. DERRY APPLICATION TO MOVE BUILDING FROM LOT 6 TO LOT 59 BLOCK 2, <br />FRIEND INDUSTRIAL TRACT. M DISTRICT (2025 & 2053 BAYSHORE). The Clerk read a letter from the Planning <br />Commission. Councilman Britschgi moved approval of the Planning Commission's recommendation to move a <br />commercial building, seconded by Councilman Spillers. Building Inspector Kreiss asked the Council to <br />include in the motion that this be done subject to zoning and building requirments. This was included in the <br />motion and the mation carried. <br />TRAFFIC COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION REGARDING DRIVEWAY ENTRANCE BODE PROPERTY, WILSON STREET AND RRANKLIN STREET. <br />Acting Police Chief Moudakas reported that the Traffic Committee recommends this driveway if the applicant <br />does not build any building or a car port. Councilman Spillers moved approval of the Traffic Committee's <br />recommendation, seconded Councilman Weiss and carried. <br />Wow Councilman Britschgi stated that he was on the committee for celebration of Mamie Glennan's birthday, Friday, <br />April 20th. The Native Daughters are working in conjunction with the Committee and they would like to have <br />the members of the Council and the officials to be present at the naming of Glennan Way and taking part in <br />the celebra6ion and they asked if the Park Superintendent would put up chairs for the celebration which will <br />take place at 3:00 P. M. Glennan Way is in the Farm Hills Subdivision. <br />Mayor Royer stated that the Public Schools wanted permission to conduct a school parade to recognize the services <br />of school honor groups as well as launch the coming Public Schools' Week events. The events start at 1:15 <br />P.M. and will be over by 2:30 P.M. This will take on place on Friday, April 20th and will be finished in <br />time for Mamie Glennan's celebration. The Council was invited to take part in the parade. The Mayor asked <br />Vern Kimball to contact the Council prior to this date to make arrangements.. <br />RESOLUTION ENDORSING TRAFFIC SIGNALS FIFTH AVENUE AND BAYSHORE HIGH!"LAY. 'Councilman Britschgi offered RESOLUTION <br />2016 REQUESTING TRAFFIC SIGNALS, FIFTH AVENUE AND BAYSHORE HIGH[VAY and moved its adoption, seconded by <br />Councilman Granger and carried on roll call. <br />REPORT ON BID OPENING, CHAIRS AND TABLES, VETERANS METORIAL BUILDING. The following bids were received: <br />two <br />H. S. Crocker Company $23860.70 <br />Beier and Gunderson 32269.70 <br />B. F. Shearer 33329.58 <br />American Seating Company 4,144.69 <br />It is the recommendation of the architect, Mr. Birge M. Clark, that the bid of B. F. Shearer by accepted, <br />since theirs is the lowest bid for funishings which meet his specifications. The City Manager concurred in <br />the recommendation. Councilman Spillers moved approval of the architects recommendation, seconded by <br />Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br />REPORT ON BID OPENING, INSTALLATION 12"'ti"LATER LINE, BROADWAY TO WHIPPLE VIA =DLEFIELD, BRADFORD AND ALLERTON. <br />The Following bids were received: <br />Associated Engineers, Inc. <br />E.
