M. <br />Invocation was lead by Reverend Gharles Lemmex, Pastor Grace Bible Church, <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Carl A. Britschgi, Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. <br />Herkner, Robert V. Spillers, Hiram S. Stout, Louis Weiss, Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. <br />Also present were City Manager E. A. Rolison, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, City Attorney C. B. Currie, <br />?'dater Superintendent H. L. Winter, Acting Police Chief Theodore Moudakas, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, <br />Planning Commissioner Leonard Greenwold, Assistant to City Manager L. A. Kimball, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, <br />Chamber of Commerce Director Cuthrie Burt and Account -Clerk Vivian Holmquist. <br />The iLayor announced,to the audience that matters concerning Carlos Avenue could not be taken under consideration <br />until the 30 days is up which will be May 7th. <br />PON PUBLIC HEARING, ABANDON PLANS ON ROSE AVENUE. Affidavit of mailing was ordered filed. There being no protests, <br />written or oral, Councilman Britschgi moved that the public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Stout <br />and carried. Councilman Stout moved approval of abandonment of plan lines on Rose Avenue, seconded by <br />Councilman Britschgi. City Attorney Currie asked the Council to hold up voting on this motion until the <br />City Engineer checked the records to find out if the plan lines were ever officially adopted. The Mayor <br />ruled to hold this motion in abeyance while the City Engineer checked the record. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, ANNEXATION HIGHLANDS TERRITORY NO. 6 (RIFF PROPERTY). Affidavit of publication was ordered <br />filed. There being no protests, written -or oral, Councilman Spillers moved that the public hearing be <br />closed, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. Councilman Spillers offered introduction of ordinance, <br />seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br />CONTINUATION, ABANDON PLANS ON ROSE AVENUE. City Attorney Currie stated that the plan lines were never officially <br />adopted and a resolution was not needed. The motion to abandon the plan lines was in order. The Mayor <br />r•-• called for a vote and the motion carried. <br />bow PUBLIC HEARING, ANNEXATION OLD COUNTY ROAD SCHOOL PROPERTY. Affidavit of publication was ordered filed. There <br />being no protests, written or oral, Councilman Spillers moved that the public hearing be closed, seconded <br />by 'Councilman Britschgi and carried. Councilman Granger offered introduction of ordinance, seconded by <br />Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />COMMITTEE REPORT ON PROPOSED PURCHASE PORTION FOX SHOPPE PROPERTY. Councilman Granger wanted to clarify that <br />sooner or later something was going to be accomplished at this intersection and he was of the opinion that <br />the City should decide if they need the property even if the money wasn't available. Council meeting, only <br />discuss the problem at hand. <br />After further discussion, Councilman Granger moved that if it is the belief of the Council, and if it is all <br />feaseble, then the City should purchase the property if the price is at all possible in an attempt to avoid <br />the matter of a deas-end street. Councilman Stout seconded the motion, and he was of the opinion that <br />
