<br /> It is .my belief that even the possibility of the discontinuance of the �hild Care
<br /> Center is to be deplored, �aturally its actual discontinuance would be a calamity

<br /> and a dis-service to the co�nunity".

<br /> Councilman Weiss mo ved that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare and su�nit
<br /> at the next council meeting a suitable resolution for adoption and submission to the
<br /> Redw�ood City Board of Education urging upon them t:he continued operation of said �hild
<br /> Care Center under their sponsorship and supervisio�i, seconded by Councilman Stout. °"A4
<br /> Mayor Royer stated that a lady had contacted him in regard to this matter and he �.�
<br /> stated that he contacted the County and they will send a copy of their resolution. The
<br /> ma.tion carried.
<br /> Councilman Gr anger moved that the inf'ormation be obtaineci from the School Board as to
<br /> their reasons why they are not in favor of continuing this program and report back to
<br /> the Council, seconded by CounciL�nan Stout and carried.

<br /> '�Now that the �3udget and the Appropriation Ordinance is out of the way and that the
<br /> I, several rather important matters have been farmed out to various committees and depart-
<br /> ' ments, it appears apprcpriate that I again bring up the question of the 80 or more items

<br /> ' However since the Mayor has undertaken the duty and responsibility of compiling and

<br /> ', City Attorney and the Assistant to the City Manager. Councilman Spillers seconded the
<br /> ', motion. Councilman Weiss stated that he wanted to be briefed on the items. The Mayor
<br /> stated trat this h�.d been discussed briefly at the study meeting. Councilman Granger
<br /> stated that he wanted the minutes to show that he was approving this because he is
<br /> just notifying the Governor that they are interested in the money when it is available
