<br /> Redwood �ity Water Department in the Ilnerald Lake Area during the past ten 10 years
<br /> � are as follows:
<br /> 1. At the Brewster Pumping Station, installed a 40 h.p. pump and motor with pump
<br /> control valve, and modernized the electrical panel board equipment for both the !}0 h.p.
<br /> and 25 h,:p. units, in addition to increasing the size of the supply lines from the
<br /> B�ewster Reservoir to the Brewster pumps.
<br /> �""' 2. At the Vista and �ak Pumping Station, installed 6" and 8'� cast iron water lines
<br /> within the reservoir property to replace the old 4" line supplying the two (2) wooden
<br /> �. tanks and pumping units: Installed the necessary Pittin�s at this pumping station
<br /> to permit the use of a gasoline powered pump in the event of a power or pump f ailure
<br /> at this site.
<br /> 3. At the Million Galloh Lakeview Reservoir site, installed a new 8'� suction or
<br /> supply line to the two (2) pumps. Also installed two (2) new pumps and motors, one
<br /> (1) 10 h.p. and one (1} 15 h.p. with new electrical control panel board. Also
<br /> rep aired wooden roof framing and installed a complete new tar and gravel roof on the
<br /> irii.11ion Gallon Heservoir.
<br /> !}.. From the Million Gallon Reaervoir to the Calif ornia Storage Tanks, inatalled a
<br /> new 8" cast iron pumping line.
<br /> 5. At the California Pumping Station, re�oved two (2) old 25,000 gallon wooden tanks
<br /> and installed one (1) new 50,000 gallon wooden tank, Also installed two (2) new 15
<br /> h.p. motors at this station and a 6" cast iron pumpin� line from the �alif orn ia
<br /> Station to the Easter Cross storage tank.
<br /> 6. At the Easter Cross storage tank site, removed one (1) old 25,000 gallon wooden
<br /> tank and installed one {1) new 50,000 gallon redwood storage tank with necessary
<br /> connections. Also installed cyclone fencing around this site.
<br /> �, 7. The Kedwood City Water Department also installed, at its or�n expense, seven (7)
<br /> fire hydrants on the E�nerald Lake pumpin� supply lines.
<br /> �"°" 8. On the Hillcrest or Welbanks Storage Reservoir site, installed one (1) new 30,000
<br /> gallon wood.en tank with connections.

<br /> Mr. Erskine, a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, addressed the Council and notifie d
<br /> them that his lodge has appropriated �p100 for a reward and they have so notified the
<br /> Chief of Police. Councilman Granger asked if it was possible for the City to post the
<br /> reward notice in the cemetery at or near the Grand Army of the Republic plot. The
<br /> City Attorney said they could post the area. �ouncilman Granger moved that the City
<br /> � Manager be authorized to have a sign posted in accordance with the Police Chieffs

<br /> OF CHILD CARE CENTER PROGRAM IN THE CITY OF REDI�QOD CITY and moved its adoption,
<br /> seconded by Councilman Spillers. The City Attorney reported that the State had just
<br /> passed a bill in which they will continue to help su}�port the Child Care Centers. The
<br /> motion carried on roll call.
