s � - � --1-,I <br /> REPORT <br /> To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From the City Clerk and City Attorney <br /> August 9, 2004 <br /> Subject <br /> Certification of Results of Referendum Petition Against Ordinance 1130-332 adopted by <br /> Redwood City Council on June 28, 2004. <br /> Recommendation <br /> By motion, accept City Clerk's certification of the referendum petition and reaffirm council <br /> order of a Special Election for November 2, 2004, regarding Ordinance No. 1130-332 <br /> (Marina Shores), <br /> Background <br /> This supplemental report is submitted to provide additional information as a result of the <br /> Special City Council meeting of August 5, 2004. <br /> In accordance with Elections Code sections 9240 and 9114, the City Clerk hereby presents <br /> to the City Council, the referendum petition certification of signatures by the San Mateo <br /> County Chief Elections Officer and the City Clerk certificate on the referendum petition <br /> against Redwood City Council ordinance 1130-332. This same information was presented <br /> to the City Council at its special council meeting of August 5, 2004. <br /> Inasmuch as the City Council, on August 5, 2004, directed thatthe ordinance be placed on <br /> the November 2, 2004 Presidential General Election ballot, and as the City Council <br /> reaffirms this act, it is unnecessary for Council to take further action on this item.
