<br /> 1. Direct staff to plan for the sale of this property with the understanding that <br /> the property will be used for a large lot residential subdivision consisting of 8 <br /> parcels generally as shown on Attachment 2; and that to ensure that the <br /> houses built on this land are compatible with the surrounding neighborhood <br /> the City will, prior to seeking purchase offers, conduct an environmental <br /> review fo the site (possibly requiring an Environmental Impact Report) and <br /> also prepare a Precise Plan which will establish specific zoning standards <br /> including a Floor Area Ratio (FAR) as defined later in this report. The <br /> Precise Plan and environmental review for the project will cost approximately <br /> $200,000.00. <br /> 2. Have the City appropriate $250,000.00 which will be reimbursed upon the <br /> sale of the property ($200,000.00 for the above planning reports and <br /> $50,000.00 for the Redevelopment Agency which fronted money for <br /> surveying and engineering costs). <br />7. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br /> A. Legislation (information only) - This sub-section involves possible discussion <br /> of City Position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California <br /> Cities Priority Focus Bulletin No. 29-2004 and 30-2004. Council may direct staff <br /> to act on positions taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities <br /> Priority Focus available in City Clerk's Department). <br /> B.
