Councilman Spillers moved that the Clerk be requested to answer Mr. Reed's letter telling <br />him that the City has accepted this as a dedicated street and do not wish to relinquish it at the <br />present time, seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried. <br />CLAIM FOR ALLEGED INJURIES TO VALERIE SKWARLO. Councilman Weymouth moved that the claim be denied and re- <br />ferred to the insurance carrier, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />Councilman Spillers moved that the meeting be adjourned to December 23rd.at the hour of 8:00 p.m., seconded <br />by Councilman Weymouth and carried. Westerdahl, Peninsula Covenant Church. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner, Robert V. <br />Spillers, Hiram S. Stout, Louis Weiss, Ray Weymouth, Mayor William H. Rayer and City Clerk R. S. <br />Dodge. Also present were City Manager E. A. Rolison, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, City Attorney <br />Robert J. Costello, Police Chief William Faulstich, Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, Building <br />Inspector S. H. Kr6iss, Planning Director William Rodgers, Assistant to the City Manager L. A. <br />Kimball, Planning Commissioner Vincent Rambo, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, Senior Stenographer Clerk <br />Vivian Holmquist and Wm. Renner representing the Health Department. <br />Councilman Spillers moved approval of the minutes of December 16, 1957, as mailed, seconded by Councilman <br />Stout and carried. <br />The Mayor recognized the following students who were representing Sequoia High School in their Youth Day <br />program: Bill Marcus, Phil Hernandez, Ken Franklin, Kent Fixman, Bruce Evans, Esther Willis and <br />Jackie Mizelle. <br />FURTHER CONSIDERATION ON PLANNING C aWSSIONIS RECOMMENDATION TO REZONE AREA BOUNDED BY HUDSON, POPLAR, <br />HESS AND REAR OF AREA FRONTING ON WOODSIDE ROAD (continued from 12-16-57). After considerable dis- <br />cussion, Councilman Stout moved that this be held on the agenda for one week with the thought that <br />the Planning Commission will consider the matter at the study meeting on Tuesday night, January 7th, <br />seconded by Councilman Weiss and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON APPLICATION OF VAN SIDEBOTTOM FOR PER2gIT TO OPERATE AUTO WRECKING YARD AT 1831 BAYSHORE. <br />(Carried over from 12-23-57). The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. There being no protests, <br />written or oral, Councilman Spillers moved that the public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman <br />Weymouth and carried. Councilman Spillers moved to grant the application for an auto wrecking yard, <br />seconded by Couhcilman Weymouth and carried on roll call with Councilman Granger and Weiss voting No* <br />
