388 <br />PERSONNEL BOARD RECOMMENDATION regarding authorizing City Manager to hire Draftsman II at second or third step, <br />according to the applicant's qualifications and experience. Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLU <br />TION NO. 2934 APPROVING THE HIRING OF CITY PERSONNEL IN THE CLASSIFICATION OF DRAFTSMAN II AT THE SECOND CR <br />THIRD SALARY STEP, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Request for further extension of time, Cupertino Gravel Company, on Jefferson Avenue widening. The City Engineer <br />recommends granting the extension. The City Manager and the City Engineer each received a telegram from the <br />attorney in -fact of Anchor Casualty Company, the bonding campany, approving the extension of time requested <br />by Cupertino Gravel Company. Councilman Fields moved to grant the extension as requested (MINUTE ORDER #59- <br />225), seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. <br />Mary T. Treacy requests permission to move dwelling from 464 Clinton Street to 804 Breeze Place. The Planning <br />Commission recommends approval of the permit subject to the recommendation of the Building Inspector that <br />the applicant post a $1,000 bond to cover a 90 day period for completion to building code requirements. <br />Councilman Herkner moved to grant the request subject to the posting of the $1,000 bond to cover a 90 day <br />period for ccmpletion to building code requirements, seconded by Councilman Spillers. George Silva presented <br />the Clerk with a petition with thirteen signatures of property owners in the vicinity of ,804 Breese Way <br />protesting the granting of any permit allowing the moving of a residence on to the lot at said address and <br />request the City to deny said permit to move. This was followed by discussion, after which Councilman <br />Herkner withdrew his motion. With Mrs. Treacy's consent, Councilman Herkner moved to continue the matter <br />for one week in order to give the people a chance to look at the house (MINUTE ORDER #59-226), seconded by <br />Councilman Granger and carried. <br />Dario Romano requests permission to move building from 1557 Hudson Street to 175 Central Avenue. The Planning <br />Commission reccmmends approval of the permit subject to the recommendations of the Building Inspector that <br />the applicant pay fifty dollars a day to the City for Electrical Department services, if required, and <br />compliance to all building code requirements. Councilman Rosselli moved to grant the permit, subject to the <br />above conditions (MINUTE ORDER #59-227), seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />Dan -]bee Construction Company requests permission to move a house and garage from 1433 Oxford Street to Menlo <br />Park. Councilman Granger moved to grant the permit (MINUTE, ORDER #59-228), seconded by Councilman Spillers <br />and caarried. <br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2935 REQUESTING REMOVAL OF REAL PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY FROM COUNTY ASSESSMENT ROLLS AND CANCELLATION OF OUTSTANDING TAXES THEREON (105.49, x 50, <br />portion of Lot 1, Block 6, Redwood Industtial Tract No. 2 - pumping station), seconded by Councilman Weymouth <br />and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Consideration of construction of Little League ball park in the Stulsaft Park area adjacent to Farm Hill Boulevard, <br />as requested by Councilman Bob Spillers. Councilman Spillers asked if the City could use the money set aside <br />for the tennis courts at Washington School. It was his understanding that the school was supposed to match <br />funds with the City and since thpy have not done so why can't they use the $3,000 now to improve the ball <br />park instead of waiting until next year. After discussion, Councilman Granger moved that the City Manager <br />investigate with the school and if they aren't going to match funds that they then proceed with the ball <br />park (MINUTE ORDER #59-229), seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />COM MICATIONS: <br />Christmas card was received from the Walnut Creek City Council. <br />Robert M. Fincher, member of the Personnel Board, submitted his resignation to become effective immediately. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved that the letter of resignation; be accepted with regret and a letter of thanks be <br />sent (MINUTE ORDER #59-230), seconded by Councilman Fiends and carried. <br />IR <br />ii <br />...d <br />8 <br />0 <br />
