Frahm requested a water connection on Lot 33, Block 702, Subdivisions 7 and 8 Highlands of Emerald <br />Lake, including resubdivision of Lots 4 to 18, inclusive of Block 404, Highlands of Emerald Lake Subdivision <br />4• The Water Superintendent recommended against the water connection because the water lines in the area <br />are not adequate, and no additional consumer service should be added. Councilman Rosselli moved to deny the <br />application, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />Peninsula Celebration Association requested the City to contribute $20000 to this year's Rodeo and Fourth <br />of July celebration. Councilman Spillers moved the request be granted and referred the matter to the City <br />Attorney for proper handling, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />Jim Carlson, 127 Camelia Avenue, addressed the Council and asked that further notice and posting be estab- <br />lished with regard to contamination and polution of waters in the vicinity of the Yacht Harbor and the <br />Port. Mr. Carlson was referred to the City Manager to see what could be done. <br />San Mateo County Fiesta Edition, the Advance -Star, requested the City and the Port to place an add in the <br />paper. Councilman Fields moved approval of the request that the City and the Port share equally in placing <br />0 <br />an advertisement in the paper and referred the matter to the City Attorney for proper handling, seconded by <br />Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />Advisory Planning Council invited the Council to attend their meeting on Wednesday, March 18th, in the <br />Board of Supervisors Chambers, to hear John Drenth describe in words, slides and movies the story of <br />Holland's winning the struggle with the Zider Zee in reclaiming thousands of acres to productive uses. <br />They feel this shoald be of special interest to San Mateo County residents because of our great reclamation <br />
