17 Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3191 CONFIRMING ASSESSMENTS AND ASSESSMENT DIAGRAM AND OVER -RULING PROTESTS, PARK STREET IMPROVEMENTS, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilmen Granger and Royer being noted absent. The Contractor for the ,Park Street Improvements has completed all work in accordance With plans and specifications for the project. The City Engineer recommends that these improvements be accepted subject to oorrection of a�w defects in materials and workmanship which might appear within one year from date of acceptance by the City Council. Councilman Herkner moved to accept the work subject to the correction of defects in materials and workmanship appearing within one year (MINUTE ORDER #60-190), seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. PUBLIC HEARING OR RESOLUTION OF INTENTION N0. 3183 TO MODIFY AND AMEND PROCEEDINGS UNDER RESOLUTION NO. 30729 REGENT STREET EXTENSION. -The public hearing was declared open and the affidavit of publication was ordered filed. There being no protests, written or oral, Councilman Fields moved that the public hear- ing be closed, seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried. Coum il.man Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0, 3192 ORDERING MODIFICATION AND AMENDMENT OF PROCEED- INGS UNDER RESOLUTION OF TNTENTI ON NO. 3072 (REGENT STREET EXTENSION), seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilmen Granger and Royer being noted absent. PUBLIC HEARING ON REPORT AND ASSESSIMENT FOR WEED ABATEMENT. The public hearing was declared open. The re- port of Street Superintendent and proposed assessment list was received and filed. The affidavit of posting and publication was received and filed. There were no written protests. Councilman Herkner raised the question as to whether or not the individual property owners were notified of the proposed assessment. He was informed they were not and the reasons why. This was followed by discussion after which Councilman Fields moved to close the public hearing, seconddd by Councilman Stehle and carried. Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3193 C ONFIRMING•REPORT OF SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS ON WEED ABATEMENT AND AUTHORIZING DELIVERY OF REPORT TO CITY TAX COLLECTOR FOR THE ADDITION OF THE ASSESSMENT AMOUNTS TO NEXT REGULAR TAX BILLS AGAINST PARTICULAR PARCELS CONCERNED, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilmen Granger and Royer being noted absent. REPORT ON SIGN ORDINANCE. Councilman Rosselli outlined why the committee was appointed and the action and meetings they have attended to date. Councilmen Herkner and Stehle were the two other members on the Sign Committee to review this ordinance. The Committee recommends that certain changes be made in the ordinance being introduced and that the ordinance go back to the City Attorney to be redrafted and then studied by the Committee. Councilman Rosselli movedto continue the Sign ordinance to October 17th, seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried. Councilman Fields moved adoption of ORDINANCE N0. 600.117 AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 600, THE ZONING ORDINANCE, TO REZONE CERTAIN HEREIN DESCRIBED PROPERTY FROM R-1 DISTRICT to R-3 DISTRICT (rear portion of Lot 21, �- Valota Park, 1240 Woodside Road), seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilmen Granger and Royer being noted absent. The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. REPORT ON BID OPENING, SELF-PROPELLED TRAFFIC LINE MARKER. The following bids were received& Edward R.
