This was followed by discussion after which <br />the motion carried unanimously on roll call, Councilman Granger being noted absent. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3202 BEING A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE <br />PORTIONS OF A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT (Lot 6, Block 2, Ebener Tract - Perry Bygdnes), seconded <br />by Councilman Fields and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilman Granger being noted absent. <br />(public hearing set for October 10th) <br />Councilman Royer moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3203 BEING A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE PORTIONS <br />OF A PUBLIC EASEMENT (Lot 13, Block 18, Farm Hill No. 2 - George Dragan), seconded by Councilman <br />Stehle and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilman Granger being noted absent. (public hear- <br />ing set for October 10th) <br />Resolution of intention by the Planning Commission to rezone Lots 1 and 3, Block B and all of Lots 1 <br />through 7 except the westerly one half of Lot 3, Block C, Woodside Acres Subdivision No. 1, from <br />R-2, Duplex District, to an R -3-G, Garden Apartment District. Councilman Herkner moved to set <br />the matter for public hearing on October 3rd, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />Resolution of intention by the Planning Commission to rezone Lots 1 through 23, Block 1 and Lots 1 .througr <br />139 Block 2, Newell Park Subdivision, from "U", Unclassified District to R 1, Single Family Resi- <br />dential District. Councilman Royer moved to set the matter for public hearing on October 3rd, <br />seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried. <br />REQUEST BY ODDSTAD HOMES FOR VARIANCE FROM SIDEWALK ORDINANCE, 1735 Broad - 33 unit apartment. The <br />City Engineer recommended against granting this variance. Gordon Hanson was present to answer <br />questions for Oddstad Homes. Councilman Rayer moved to uphold the recommendation of the Engineering <br />Department and denied the variance (MINUTE ORDER #60-199), seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried. <br />Councilman Fields moved adoption of ORDINANCE N0. 979 ADDING SECTION 195 TO ORDINANCE NO. 758 TO PRO- <br />HIBIT PARKING ON EL CAMINO REAL IN THE VICINITY OF BROADWAY AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />MARK THE CURB AREA AND ERECT APPROPRIATE SIGNS, GIVING NOTICE OF THE PA RKING PROHIBITION AND SHOW- <br />ING ANY TOff-AWAY Z CNE, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call, Coun- <br />cilman Granger being noted absent. The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. <br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of ORDINANCE N0. 980 ADDING SECTIONS 154# 155, 196, 196.1 AND 196.2 <br />TO ORDINANCE NO. 758 TO ESTABLISH A VEHICLE TON AWAY ZONE FOR EL CP19NO REAL BETWEEN WINKLEBLECK <br />STREET AND BREWSTER AVENUE AND TO ADOPT A PROCEDURE FOR THE REMOVAL OF VEHICLES, seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Steh36 and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilman Granger being noted absent. The <br />affidavit of publication was ordered filed. <br />PERSONNEL BOARD RECOMMENDATIONS THAT FRINGE BENEFITS BE GRANTED <br />CONSTRUCTION INSPECTORS. <br />At the Personnel Board meeting on Tuesday, August 9, 19603, the Board made the following recom- <br />mendations: <br />Allowance of fringe benefits to those engineering construction inspectors who have <br />worked at least 1,008 hours (the equivalent of 6 months) during a twelve month <br />period, to be figured at 1 day sick leave, 1 day disability leave, and 5/6 day <br />vacation leave per 168 hours worked. <br />Construction inspectors automatically go into State Retirement after a six month <br />period, but no benefits are granted. <br />
