Councilman Royer moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3214 CONDITIONALLY AUTHORIZING CITY ENGINEER TO FILE AMENDED ASSESSMENT, ASSESSMENT 10, INDUSTRIAL WAY IMPROVEMENTS, BOND SERIES 1955-2, sec- onded by Councilman Fields and carried on roll call, Councilmen Fields, Rosselli, Royer and Mayor Weymouth voting yes, Councilna n Herkner voting no and Councilmen Granger and Stehle being noted absent. Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0, 3215 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR A NEW POLICE CAR; AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR, seconded by Counci1nan Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilmen Granger and Stehle being noted absent. Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3216 -AUTHORIZING SALE OF PORTION OF LOT 1, BLOCK "I"p, WOOD - SIDE ACRES SUBDIVISION N0. 1, DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION N0. 3210, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilmen Granger and Stehle f being noted absent. Recommendation of Planning Commission for amendment to Ordinance No. 600 adding section controlling garage access. Councilman Herkner moved to set the matter for public hearing on October 31st, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. Councilman Rosselli moved introduction of an or dinance appropriating the sum of $4,000 from the Unbudgeted, Una- ppropriated Balance of the General Fund to the Tennis Court Resurfacing Account in the General Fund, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. Request of Lindsey Wheatley for six months extension of*their agreement to construct alley improvements at rear of their Rolison Garden Apartments, Belle Haven Subdivision. The City Attorney announced that he was in receipt of the proper bond and also had a letter from the Bonding Company approving the extension. Council- woo man R oyer moved to grant the requested extension (MINUTE ORDER #60-2%), seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. COMMUNICATIONS: The Chamber of Commerce Beautification Committee recommended that the City take measures to clean the side- walks, much of which is caused by the gum and other substance which can't be removed by sweeping, was called to the Chambers attention by complaints of merchants and residents and even newspaper comment. Councilman Rosselli suggested that the Chamber of Commerce participate and pay the cost. The City Manager was requested to contact the Chamber of Commerce to see if they would pay the cost. The City has a steam cleaner that could be used. Claims 34252 through 34351, totaling $120,414*17, were ordered paid on motion of Councilman R osselli, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. 7 The City Attorney reported on %luck Route Litigation. They have gone forward with the injunctions, and have ans- wered three complaints. Mr. Costello asked that a committee be formed to meet with him to discuss the pro - blew. The Mayor appointed CouncilmenRoyer and Herkner, Mr, Neal, Mr. Costello and himself as•the committee. They would hold their first meeting Wednesday at 4:00 P. m. Mayor Weymouth appointed Councilmen Rosselli, Chairman, and Fields to act as a committee against Proposition No. 15. Councilman Rosselli discussed the problem of sidewalks on Rosemary Lane. City Engineer Jain was requested to make a full investigation and report back next week. Cogncilman Rosselli moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried.
