<br />(Proposal I., $28.,236.46), seconded by Councilman Granger and carried unanimously on roll call.
<br />Resolution authorizing execution of agreement for construction of allay improvements., Block 22 Friendly
<br />Acres Subdivision No. 2. Thealley abuts Lots 9 through 18, Block 2. This improvement is a condition
<br />of the lot split, and the agreement will insure the construction of the improvements, regardless of
<br />whether or not the assessment district for'the alley improvements which was authorised by the Council
<br />at the meeting of December 5., 19602 goes through. Councilman Royer moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0.
<br />3266 AUTHORIZING IMPROVEMENT OF PUBLIC ALLEY AND RIGHT'OF WAY IN BLOCK 2 OF FRIENDLY ACRES SUBDIVISION

<br />designated "Edgewood Annexation No. 1-C" to the City of Redwood City, seconded by Councilman Rosselli

<br />CLAIM OF FLORIAN-BROOKING$ 1844 Lenolt Street., for damages to auto alleged to have been caused by planter
<br />in front of 2417 Broadway. Councilman Fields moved to deny the claim and refer it to our insurance

<br />COMMUNICATIONS:
<br />Division of Highways answered the letter of the City Manager regarding the setback lines of Union
<br />Cemetery. The State answered that their plans for the widening of Woodside 11oad use the cemetery as
<br />a control and no encroachment on the cemetery is contemplated.
<br />PG&E reported that the master plan for street lighting in Redwood City is well on its way to completion and
<br />they will make every effort to have it in the City's hands in advance of the suggested date at the end
<br />of February.
<br />State Board of Equalization regarding State administration of Local Sales and Use Taxes. The State
<br />executed the agreement for administration of Ordinance No. 845 (Uniform Local Sales and Use Tax) which
<br />will become operative on January 12 19612 when the City Ordinance goes into effect. Their first
