A vacancy on the Conmission was created by <br /> the appointrtient"of former Comnissioner Stangel to the City Council , <br /> leaving his unexpired term open. <br /> All of the candidates were present: Therese Freeman, Wayne <br /> Kingsford-Smith, John Mooney and Robert Spillers. � <br /> Civic Cultural Comnission "'"�` <br /> Mayor Rhodes advised that because of the resignation of Carole Addleman <br /> a vacant unexpired term was created. He stated that since the appii- <br /> cation for appointment to the Commission from former Commissioner <br /> Alice Kennedy was the only one received that no interview session <br /> was called, since Mrs. Kennedy is well-known to th�e Council . It was <br /> ; pointed out that Code provisions prevented the reappointment of Mrs. <br /> Kennedy in the past but that those provisions have been changed to <br /> permit commissioners to succeed themselves. <br /> Appointments <br /> Mayor Rhodes called for balloting for appointment to the Civic <br /> Cult�ral Comnission. <br /> MOTION: Councilman Leipzig moved, seconded by Councilmdn Norris, that <br /> Alice Kennedy be appointed to the unexpired term, expiring April 30, <br /> 1982, on the Civic Cultural Comnission. <br /> The motion carried unanimously by volce vote. <br /> (MINUTE ORDER N0. 79-154) "� <br /> Mayor Rhodes called for balloting for appointment to the Pla�nning "� <br /> Conmission. <br /> � Ad�.Mtg. <br /> 8/6/79 <br /> , <br />
