Rhodes <br /> Directors absent: Chandler, Leipzig <br /> Officials and staff resent: Assistant City Manager Smith, City <br /> t orney c ric er, rector of Finance Ference, Cit Clerk <br /> Hildebrand and representatives of General Appraisal Company and <br /> Mobil Oil Estates (Redwood) Limited. <br /> GENERAL <br /> Mayor Rhodes stated that Council is meeting in a meeting continued <br /> from July 16, 1979 for the purpose of hearing additional information <br /> from General Appraisal Company in response to requests of Council . <br /> Director of Finance Ference referred to the City Manager's Report ""'"� <br /> of August 2, 1979 regarding the 1978-79 Assessment Roll and attaching <br /> his report of July 31 relating to corrections in the Roll . Mr. � <br /> Ference introduced the representatives of General Appraisal Company. <br /> David K. Bohe ian, General Appraisal Company, distributed copies of <br /> marce maps o D No. 1-64, copies of a letter to him from DMJM <br /> dated July 24 and attaching certain statistics, and copies of a <br /> "Sunmary of Change in Appraised Values 1978-79" for Redwood Shores. <br /> Mr. Bohegian called attention to a large marked map of the District <br /> ,' and to the third paragraph of the DMJM letter relating to sub parcels <br /> ' ad3oining a sanitary land fill area, noting that because of garbage <br /> material in the foundation soils, any future building construction <br /> in the area would be severe,ly restrained. Therefore, Mr. Bohegian <br /> said the land is not devAlopable, and the appraised value must re- <br /> flect that fact. <br /> Adair Slater, Mobil , advised the only possible use might be for a <br /> parc ng ot or landscaping, noting that a methane gas problem would <br /> exist. <br /> Mr. Bohegian then called attention to the sheet entitled "Acreage <br /> Parce�s - Redwood Peninsula", noting that Parcels 95•010-84, Nos. <br /> 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2008 represent a reallgnment of developable � <br /> versus undevelopable parcels resulting in an increased value because <br /> , more parcels were placed in the d�velopable land category. ,,,� <br /> Mr. Bohe�ian referred to the sheet entitled "Undeveloped Areas <br /> Designated for Praposed� Improvements", noting the effect on the <br /> areas which will benefit from construction of the bond pro�ects. <br /> Bd./Equal <br /> 8/6/79 <br />
