� � � <br /> MOTION: Titles having been r•ead, Councilman Chandler introduced the <br /> following resolutions and moved, seconded by Councilman Biagi , to <br /> accept the bid for the bonds from the sy.ndicate (Bank of America NT <br /> & SA, Merrill Lynch White Weld Capital Markets Group, Dean Witter <br /> Reynolds Inc. and Joint Managers and Associates signed by Michael J. <br /> �,�,TM La Torre, Senior llnderwriter) , and adoption of <br /> �� RESOLUTION N0. 8244 OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY SELtING $2,850,000 <br /> REDWO D CITY GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT N0. 1-64 1964 RECLAMA- <br /> TiON BONDS, SERIES E; AND FIXING THE DEFINITIVE .RATE OF INTEREST <br /> THEREON <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 8245 OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY SELLING $8,950,000 <br /> REDWOOD CTTY ;GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT N0. i-64 1964 FACILITIES <br /> BONDS, SERIES E; AND FIXING THE DEFINITIVE RATE OF INTEREST <br /> THEREON <br /> The motion carried and the resolutions were adopted on the following <br /> rol.l call vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmen Biagi , Chandler, Rhodes and Mayor Barrett <br /> Noes: Councilman Norris (MINUTE ORDER N0. 79-55) <br /> Councilman Biagi stated for the record that the additional participa- <br /> tian by Mobil does not hurt or improve the position of taxpayers in <br /> Redwood Shores. <br /> DISPOSTTION OF FILL - GID N0. 1-64 <br /> � <br /> City Manager Fales advised Council of a problem relating to fill dis- <br /> r�,� position by Mabi]. and he asked for authorization to bring the matter <br /> to the attention of Mobil headquarters in New York. <br /> Director of Public Works Pusich posted a map of GID 1-64. <br /> Mr. Fales advised that the sanitary sewer lines, unlike other facility <br /> lines in the District, must fldw east to west. He stated that if <br /> Mobil places fill in the area where they presently intend to do so, <br /> there will be a gap in the sewer line. He said that staff does not <br /> believe the District should be expected ta spend the money to correct <br /> the situation .which will be required at some later date, and he <br /> wishes to call the matter to the attention of Mobil at this time so <br /> that other fill ar.rangements can be made. <br /> In response to question, Mr. Pusich advised that he will propose the <br /> possibiTity of user fees like those charged in any new area for <br /> drainage, sewer connections, etc. to be assessed against the ground. <br /> Don Warren stated that Area A is being replanned and that the fill <br /> in question is of a low quality which will have to be covered by a <br /> higher quality and is not suitable for the other more northern area <br /> indicated on the map. <br /> � Mr. Fales advised he hopes to have the report on proposed fee structure <br /> � prepared in June ta become effective July 1, 1979. <br /> Adj .Mtg. <br /> 3/8/79 <br /> Page 3 <br />
