 5g
AGENDA (continued) ACTION 7AKEN (continued)
REPORTS OF CITY MANAGER (continued) REPORTS OF CITY MANAGER (continued)
7. (continued) City Manager Fales called attention to the
memo from the Director of Public Works to the
City Manager of March 30, 1979 relating to
parkway lighting at Redwood Shores, copies of
which were distributed to Gouncfl. Mr. Fales
suggested that Council might wish to give con-
s9deration to more parkway lighting than
originally was anticipated in the design
criteria established several years ago, noting
that only intersections were planned to be
lighted which would be sufficient for traffic
safety, but that more light might be desirable '"''
if pedestrians use the parkway. He observed
that no complaints or request have been re-
ceived, but that walkers and oggers are now
using the paths.
CONSENSUS: Following discussion Mayor Barrett
determined that it was the consensus af Council
that in ptanning 1lghting of parkways in
Redwood Shores that more street lighting than
fust lighting of intersections be considered.
(Memo 4/3/79)
------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------
CONSENT CAIENDAR CONSENT CALENDAR
In response to request pf Councilman Norris
Mayor Barrett ruled that Item 18, relating to
GID No. 1-64 Bonds. will be considered
separately.
, M/S: Titles read.
