Mayor Barrett noted that the Budget was then <br /> referred to Budget Study Sessions to be held on May 12 and May 19, <br /> 1979 for the purpose of considering it in detail. He advised that <br /> items in the Budget will be considered in the order presented, <br /> observing. that the program budget format remains the same as last <br /> year. <br /> HUMAN SERVICES pp. 9 - 12 <br /> HUMAN SERVICE ASSISTANCE <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of May 8, 1979 correcting � <br /> the amounts recomnended for certain comnunity based organizations. � <br /> He advised that the figures contained on page 10 of the Budget <br /> were calculated incorrectly, and the new figures should be used. <br /> He advised that in addition to the agencies listed on page 10, <br /> requests have been received for $6,605 from RSVP (Retired Senior <br /> Volunteer Program) and for $2,000 from Center for Independence <br /> of Disabled (CID). <br /> Clifford����Boxle�, PROBE, advised he is now paid by Target Education <br /> an�W—eT arf e but continues to be the spokesperson for PROBE. Mr. <br /> Boxley advised he appreciates the support of the Council and <br /> City staff offered to PROBE and to the other human service or- <br /> ganizations. He distributed copies of a resolution relating to <br /> State "bailout" funds. <br /> Mr. Fales noted for the record that the recomnended Budget <br /> anticipates the receipt of $922,000 in "bailout" funds, but if <br /> that emount is not received, then the Budget will have to be <br /> amended accordingly. <br /> Budget Study <br /> 5/12/79 <br /> � <br />
