Rhodes <br /> � <br /> Meeting of the City Council as ,r,,,� <br /> BOARD OF EQUALIZATION <br /> " The Council of the City of Redwood City met on this date <br /> i at 4 :05 p.m. in an ad�ourned meeting from July 15, 197� <br /> as a Board of Equalization to equalize the Assessment <br /> � Roll of General Improvement District No. 1-E4. <br /> � <br /> � <br /> E Roll Call <br /> � <br /> � Councilmen present : Barrett, Henderson, Leipzig, Norris, <br /> � Rhodes and Mayor Weymouth <br /> Councilmen absent : Williams <br /> Officials and staff present : Assistant City Manager <br /> ; Smith, City Attorney Schricker, City Controller-Assessor <br /> , Ference, City Clerk Hildebrand <br /> Public Hea.ring (continued) <br /> � <br /> Mayor Weymouth announced that the public hearing remains <br /> open from the July 15, 1974 meeting and was continued <br /> until further information could be received from the "�` <br /> Controller regarding assessment of certain parcels. <br /> City Controller Ference presented his report of July 18, <br /> 1974 regarding the revised recommended assessed values <br /> of certain parcels made by the appraiser, Marshall and <br /> ' Stevens, Incorporated. Mr. Ference advised that the <br /> revised assessments are more consistent with existing <br /> fair market values and with assessments of other par- <br /> cels within the District. <br /> Council members expressed appreciation to Councilman <br /> Norris whose thorough examination of the original <br /> Assessment Roll resulted in the recommended revisions. <br /> In response to request of Councilman Henderson, Mr. <br /> Ference stated it should be possible to get the Assess- <br /> ment Roll to the Council by May 30, 1975 in order that <br /> they may have more time to examine it next year. Mr. <br /> Ference also stated it should be possible to show any <br /> fi increases or decreases in assessments in percentages. <br /> !
