'�'""" <br /> In response to question, Planning Director Schroeter .�� <br /> described the subdivision proposed to take place with <br /> regard to the item related to property in the vicinity <br /> of Northumberland and Carlos Avenues. <br /> Glen Bean, 1E57 Alameda de las Pulgas, asked if City <br /> orces m ght perform the services described in the <br /> item relating to Mezes Park redevelopment and inquired <br /> about the fee schedule for such services. Parks and <br /> Recreation Director Weeks advised of the method of <br /> determining appropriate fees. City Manager Fales ex- <br /> plained that the City does not have a landscape archi- <br /> tect and that the Public Works Department is too <br /> heavily burdened to do the work as promptly as it is <br /> desired to have it done. He stated that it is the <br /> policy of that department to maintain a standing force <br /> ; only large enough to handle on-going work and to con- <br /> ; tract for special assignments rather than go to the <br /> , considerable expense of maintaining a larger force at <br /> all times. <br /> !
