Letter from Richard E. Arnold resi�ning from the <br /> Planning Commission effective immediately. <br /> Mayor Weymouth ordered the resignation of former <br /> Planning Commissioner Arnold accepted with regret. <br /> (Memo 9/24/7�+) <br /> Mayor Weymouth requested the City Clerk to provide <br /> Council members with copies of the applications <br /> for appointment to the Planning Commission solicited <br /> �...� from the public last spring. Mayor Weymouth reminded <br /> Council that all applicants had been interviewed <br /> and that i.t was the intent of Council to make <br /> "`�' interim appointments to Boards and Commissions from <br /> among the candidates making application at the time <br /> of expiration of regular terms in accordance with <br /> ne�wly adopted Council procedures. <br /> 2. Letter from George Dragan, Chairman of the Civic <br /> Cultural Commission, transmitting the resignations <br /> of Commissioners Patti Bury and David Harris from <br /> the Civic Cultural Commission. <br /> Mayor Weymouth ordered the resignations of former <br /> Commissioners Bury and Harris accepted with regret. <br /> Discussion followed and it was the consensus of <br /> Council that since no advertising wi11 be done <br /> inviting applications for appointment to the Civic <br /> Cultural Commission until next spring, and since no <br /> pool of candidates exists, that the City Clerk be <br /> directed to advertise for candidates at the same <br /> time she advertises for candidates for appointment <br /> to the Housing Concerns Committee.
